Veronika and her brother, Larry, were born in Palm Tree State, USA, and moved to Selene Valley, Possum State, Australia when she was fifteen years old. Veronika always resented Larry because their mother died giving birth to him, and she blames him for her death. They have an ongoing sibling rivalry, constantly trying to one-up and destroy each other.

Veronika is a feisty competitor and she will destroy anyone who gets in the way of her goals. She will brag about how she's "Not like other girls" and vocally hates on anything feminine. Veronika considers herself "One of the boys" she is desperate to impress people with her drinking, knowledge of heavy metal, and athletic skills.

Veronika envied and wanted to be a part of Nuklear Intoxikation -- A successful local thrash Metal band. When she took the frontman, Craig Medeiros, for a joyride in her Lamborghini he jumped straight into bed with her. Their relationship quickly turned toxic and turbulent. Craig is still in love with his ex-boyfriend, Andreas Odegaard, which infuriates Veronika, but he stays with Veronika because he doesn't want to be alone. Veronika stays with Craig to be in Nuklear Intoxikation, but has wandering eyes for Blake Sabatini.
